Amanjiwo invites guests to experience a magical three-day culinary journey led by the country’s most celebrated chefs, Ray Adriansyah and Maxie Millian, in a beautiful and historical setting.

Those who have experienced the first Culinary Expedition to Java back in March 2021 would testify that it was a revolutionary event for foodies around the country and even world. Amanjiwo is set to launch its second culinary expedition on 2 to 5 December 2021, and Eat Vacation has no doubt that this will be no less impressive than its predecessor event.

Culinary Expedition
Hosted by two of Indonesia’s most renowned chefs, Ray Adriansyah and Maxie Millian, guests will be invited to experience exquisite gourmet activities over three days, from exciting excursions to riverside breakfasts and an exclusive gala dinner in the majestic Borobudur Temple.

The Culinary Expedition takes place over three days with Chef Ray Adriansyah and Maxie Millian at the helm. Chef Ray himself is the co-owner of the popular Locavore restaurant which focuses on leveraging local ingredients and has been named Asia’s Most Sustainable Restaurant in 2019. Meanwhile, Chef Maxie Millian is Jakarta-born with a diverse career history in Dubai and expertise in both European and Indonesian cuisine.

Begin the first day with a five-course dinner curated and cooked to express the warmth of a Central Javanese palate.  For the second day, guests can enjoy a relaxing Javanese breakfast by the majestic Progo River. With bamboo mats, comfy pillows, and artful tables, this lesehan style meal is the perfect way to drink in the surrounding landscape and scintillating riverside.

Culinary Expedition
The Culinary Expedition at Amanjiwo commences with a five-course dinner prepared by Chefs Ray Adriansyah and Maxie Millian, showcasing modern Central Javanese flavors as a warm welcome for guests at the resort.

Once nightfall arrives, Chef Maxie prepares a fragrant dinner over an open fire in Pak Bilal’s home. Here, one can glance into the authentic rural life of Javanese villagers! The event culminates on the third day with a splendid six-course dining experience in the beautiful venue of Borobudur Park. Beyond the culinary excitement, guests can also immerse in the remarkable roots of Amanjiwo.
