Executive Chef Andry Stefanus and his dedicated team have prepared something fabulous for this Valentine’s Day, where couples are invited to an intimate four-course dinner at the legendary Lagoon Café, exclusively available on Friday, 14 February 2020 from 6pm to 9pm. Enhancing the romantic ambience, the hotel is also adorned in lovely Valentine’s Day-themed decoration and a playlist of all-time favorite love songs playing in the background.
Your first stop of this special around-the-world culinary journey is Japan: 一目ぼれ or “
Hitomebore
”, which is Seared Norwegian Salmon in Japanese miso marinated with Peruvian jalapeno and cilantro dressing, topped with fresh assorted vegetables. The seafood adventure does not stop there, because you will find this one to be quite unforgettable. The soup dish, called “
Séduction
”, is a tantalizing French lobster bisque with tarragon foam and toasted garlic bread.
Third time’s a charm, and so does the main course. Here, you and your loved one will be mesmerized with a perfect fusion of Western and Eastern, in a dish called “
Animo Gemella
”, a marriage of succulent US Short Ribs braised in Italian herbs and seared Hokkaido Scallops accompanied with potato purée, veal jus, steamed baby carrot and grilled green asparagus. What’s not to love? Concluding the wonderful evening, the “Forbidden Fruit” dessert is waiting for you—a delightful apple mousse with apple jelly served with Belgian chocolate and caramelized walnut.
